Leslie Langbert holds a Master of Social Work degree and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an extensive professional background as a therapist, educator, yoga instructor, meditation facilitator and leader in non-profit and higher education.

She is passionate about supporting folks, whether in the classroom, on the meditation cushion, or on the yoga mat, to feel empowered to work skillfully with the experiences that life unfolds for us, while deepening compassion toward self and others. She has been recognized for her ability to foster supportive, empowering communities that invite deep exploration and learning, and for her commitment to deepening her understanding of the practices she shares and works with in her own life.

A Senior/Level 2 Instructor of CBCT (Cognitively Based Compassion Training), Leslie has been sharing compassion practices and programs with children, adolescents and adults since 2013. She serves as a member of the CBCT Teacher Training faculty at Emory University, and developed and taught contemplative-based undergraduate courses on mindfulness and compassion at the University of Arizona for a decade. She co-founded the University of Arizona’s Center for Compassion Studies and served as the Executive Director from 2014 - 2024.

Leslie has been an invited speaker and facilitator for a number of organizations including Creative Mornings Tucson, the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, Mayo Clinic, Tohono O’odham Nation Healthcare, Intermountain Centers for Human Development, and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
