Cultivating mindfulness and compassion skills during college supports students in all of their studies and prepares them for their professional and personal lives ahead. For the last decade, I’ve taught high demand, high impact courses on compassion and mindfulness online and in-person in an R-1 Research University.   • This online course provides an introduction to mindfulness and other contemplative practices as tools to facilitate coping with stress and enhancing engagement in a full life. Mindfulness involves cultivating non-judgmental awareness in each moment as it unfolds. Students explore the background of mindfulness and other contemplative practices and engage with activities and practices to support the development of their own resources to support stress management and resilience.

  • This online course introduces mindfulness and other contemplative practices to facilitate coping with stress and enhancing engagement in a full life with a special emphasis on practices and tools for studying and learning.

    Students explore the background of mindfulness and other contemplative practices and engage with activities and practices to support the development of their own resources to support stress management build resilience and effective tools for focus and concentration.

  • This online course provides an introduction to mindfulness-based movement practices to cultivate resilience and enhancing engagement in a full life. Students explore the background of movement based mindfulness practices including mindful walking, conscious dance, yoga, qi gong and labyrinth journeying while engaging directly with these practices, reflecting on their experiences and developing a practice to build upon after the course ends.
